Our Unique Market

Fort Liberty is a unique place to live. According to TheSoldiersProject.org, Fort Liberty is the largest Army Base in the world! The entire area of Fort Liberty is 254.6 square miles and the main post (excluding training grounds, etc.) of the base spans 19 miles! Even more impressive than it's footprint, is our number of PEOPLE! Fort Liberty is home to 260,000 people, including nearly 54,000 active military members! Most of those people (active duty military, contractors, civilians) are moving in and out every few years. This alone creates a very unique housing market for our area. 

Every market has it's cycles, but ours are pretty consistent! With "PCS season" happening every year (with the exception of the crazy 2020), our market is more reliable than other markets. 

This should help put your mind at ease if you're considering purchasing a home while you're here at Fort Liberty! There will always be incoming families who need housing. Even if you only plan to live here for a year or two, if you haven't acquired as much equity as you'd like to make it profitable, you can opt to lease out your house (there are also plenty of people who can only rent!) until you are ready to sell! And don't worry! Choosing to rent out your house doesn't prevent you from using your VA Loan to purchase another home elsewhere!

There are so many misconceptions when it comes to buying a home while you're in the military. If you're financially capable, it can be a very wise decision to invest your BAH in real estate. Especially in our unique Fort Liberty market!
